L. and Vyas ShaliniSukhadia Univ.ersity, Udaipur. This study examined the role of stress and adjustment in diabetics (high and lowblood sugar) and suggested some coping strategies. Stress and adjustment doesnot depend upon any single aspect of individual’s personality but upon the totalorganisation and integration of traits within the individual thus the study alsoemphasises the comparison with the normal individuals. The sample comprised ofninety individuals, both male and female within the age group of 35 to 45 years(n=30 in each group). Mean scores revealed that level of all the four above mentionedstresses was higher for both high and low blood sugar groups and average for normalrespondents. Adjustment level was also better in normal respondents as comparedto the diabetes patients. The computed F ratio was also found to be significantwhich indicates that diabetes significantly affects the adjustment & stress levels ofindividuals
