The JIAAP is a refereed and indexed journal. All articles are sent to expert assessors who evaluate each paper on several dimensions, such as originality of the work, scientific argument, style of English, format of the paper, references, citations, and finally they comment on suitability of the article for the journal. In the case of review articles, the importance of the subject and the extent the review is comprehensive are assessed. Plagiarism is treated as an offense. The journal checks similarity using professional software (e.g. Turnitin or Drillbit); manuscripts above the journal’s similarity threshold may be returned without review. "All submitted manuscripts will undergo similarity and AI-content screening. Manuscripts with a plagiarism (similarity) index exceeding 10% will be returned without review. Additionally, AI-generated content must not exceed 10%. Submissions failing to meet these criteria will be desk rejected.” Please check your paper carefully before submitting. Prospective authors are expected, before submitting any article for publication, to ensure that it strictly follows the manuscript preparation instructions and that there is no plagiarism. Improvement of a manuscript may be achieved by: (i) more attention to language; (ii) more attention to logical coherence among the sections; (iii) attention to possible plagiarism; (iv) checking that the paper follows APA 7 and JIAAP format.

Online submission (required)
Use this website’s Submission portal to upload your manuscript. You will receive acknowledgement through the digital workflow. Postal hard copy and physical media (e.g. CD) are not accepted.
The former WordPress author login at jiaap.in is superseded by this portal for new submissions.
Before you submit — checklist
- Name, affiliation, and email of all authors

- High-resolution graphics — preferred formats: TIFF or EPS

Manuscript preparation
Include a separate title page with author name(s) and affiliations. Author identification should appear only on the title page. Provide the corresponding author’s e-mail address.
Body text: 1.5 line spacing, Arial 11 pt.
Follow the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (7th ed.) for tables, figures, references, metrics, and abstracts.
TIFF preferred for graphics. Minimum line weight for line art: 0.5 pt. Place symbol legends below the figure where possible.
Major components of an article
Title
Short and accurate; no need to prefix “A study of”. Avoid abbreviations in the title. Provide a short running head (two or three words). Author name(s), affiliations, and running head on the title page only. Address and qualifications may appear at the end of the paper.
Acknowledgements
May be given at the end of the paper.
Abstract
Maximum 150 words. Summarise background, objectives, methods, and findings. Provide on a separate page. Include three to five keywords.
Structured abstract: For clarity and indexing, use labelled sections (e.g. Background, Methods, Results, Conclusions) where appropriate.
Opening section
Do not use the heading “Introduction”. Keep the opening precise and limited to your study area. Avoid references older than 15 years unless essential. Use APA style for in-text citations.
Objectives / hypotheses
May be a separate heading or included in the opening section.
Method
Use “Method” (not “Methodology”). Cover techniques, sample, instruments/measures, procedure, and ethics approval / informed consent for human participants where applicable.
Results
Present facts clearly; prefer tables or figures. Do not repeat the same data in more than one form. Maximum four tables. Indicate where tables/figures should appear. Arabic numerals for tables and figures. JIAAP does not usually publish detailed ANOVA tables — report F-values and significance in text following APA style. Do not repeat numbers already shown in tables.
Discussion
Summarise findings briefly, then discuss in light of prior work in separate paragraphs. Results and discussion may sometimes be combined to avoid repetition.
Conclusion
State conclusions clearly. Comment on applications and limitations where relevant.
References
Citations and reference list must match. Avoid irrelevant or purely classic citations. Do not cite abstracts or unpublished papers as references. Give journal titles in full (not abbreviated). List references alphabetically. Follow APA 7. Use the official APA reference examples when finalising your list.
Reference examples
Journal titles and book titles in italics; volume and issue as required by APA 7.

Permissions & third-party material
Authors must obtain and supply the editor, on final acceptance, all permissions needed to reproduce copyrighted work — including tests, scales, figures, or extended quotations. For third-party images or instruments, keep permission records and state sources clearly in the manuscript.
Publication policy
You may not submit the same manuscript for concurrent consideration elsewhere. JIAAP publishes original material; manuscripts already published in whole or in substantial part elsewhere are not acceptable. Authors must confirm in writing that the submission is original, not under consideration elsewhere, and that ethical standards were met for human or animal participants, with details as appropriate.
Editorial correspondence
Manuscript communication, feedback, book and test reviews, and permission for reproduction should be addressed to:
