Policies
Conflict of interest
Transparency about competing interests helps readers judge research fairly. The expectations below apply to authors, reviewers, and editors of Journal of the Indian Academy of Applied Psychology (JIAAP).
Author disclosures
Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships with people or organisations that could inappropriately influence (bias) their work. Examples include employment, consultancies, grants, patents, stock ownership, or personal beliefs tied to the topic.
If no conflict exists, manuscripts should include a statement such as: “The authors declare no conflict of interest.”
Reviewers
Reviewers must decline invitations where they have a recent collaboration, close personal relationship, or financial stake that could compromise objectivity. They should notify the editor immediately if an undisclosed overlap becomes apparent during review.
Editors
Editors and editorial staff avoid decisions on submissions where they have a direct competing interest. Alternative handling arrangements (such as delegation to another editor) are used when needed.
