Relationship Between Emotional Intelligence (EI) and Responsibility Attitude among Youth

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between Emotional Intelligence (EI) and Responsibility Attitude among youth. It examines how a well-developed sense of responsibility correlates with the ability to recognize, manage, and express emotions effectively, fostering better decision-making and interpersonal relationships in their living. To investigate the relationship, a sample of 200 college students was selected using simple random sampling strategy. In the 200 sample, 100 were day scholars and the remaining 100 were hostellers. Tools on Responsibility attitude scale and Emotional intelligence scale were used to collect data. Pearson product moment correlation and ‘t’ test were used for analysis. The result showed that the variable responsibility attitude has a significant positive correlation with emotional intelligence. In addition to this the hostellers and day scholars show a significant difference in their responsibility attitude
